Knicks sign Tim Hardaway Jr.

New York Knickerbockers Executive Vice President and General Manager Glen Grunwald announced today that the team has signed guard Tim Hardaway Jr., the 24th overall selection in the 2013 NBA Draft, to a contract.

Hardaway, 6-6, 205-pounds, played three seasons at the University of Michigan, averaging 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 107 games. The Miami, FL-native helped lead the Wolverines to the 2013 NCAA Tournament Finals versus Louisville. He finished his collegiate career ranked 18th on the school’s all-time scoring list and sixth in three-point goals. As a sophomore, Hardaway helped the team to the school’s first Big Ten title in 26 years. He is the son of five-time NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway Sr.

He is expected to play for the Knicks’ entry at the 2013 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, NV.
