Matchup of the Week

This weeks matchup of the week will be that Knicks traveling to Indiana to face the Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

With a very solid four game winning streak the Knicks will have to play their best against an Eastern Conference foe. In the last game against the Pacers the Knicks really played a solid game, but in the end would lose 103-96.

But now the Knicks look to build off their recent positive play and will look to defeat one of the East’s best. Carmelo Anthony and Paul George will likely be the two focal points of both teams, but the big men battle will also be huge. Roy Hibbert has feasted on the Knicks since the playoffs and with Tyson Chandler’s status still up in the air, it will be very important for the Knicks to stop him. Chandler could be back for this game, but that is unknown at this point.

Player to Watch

The player to watch this week is Amare Stoudemire. During New York’s four game winning streak, Stoudemire has played really big for them. His play inside has given New York something that have lacked this season. He looks more energized and is playing a very efficient offensive game. Look for Stoudemire to be a huge part of the Knicks plans in the games he plays this week. There is a chance that Stoudemire misses a game this week with the Knicks playing two back to backs.
