Suns cruise past Knicks 112-88

The Phoenix Suns simply outplayed the New York Knicks tonight. The start was poor, the defense was horrible, and it all equaled to a very tough loss tonight. Granted the Suns are a playoff team right now, but the Knicks didn’t compete in this one. After trying to comeback the Knicks would fall to the Suns 112-88.

The Suns have a real star in Goran Dragic. His play this season has spoke volumes to his work ethic and hard work. Tonight he performed with that effort that he has played with this season. Dragic would score 32 points in a very nice win for the Suns. His backcourt mate Eric Bledsoe also had a strong game was he scored 16 points and also added seven rebounds and six assists. He also is a star for them. The combination of the two have really been important for the Suns as they make a push for the playoffs.

Currently the Suns sit in the eighth spot, but with the western conference being so good, they have an opportunity to move up with wins like tonight.

Phoenix also impacted the boards as they collected 56 rebounds. They out hustled for the Knicks, grabbing 18 offensive rebounds. The entire game was all Phoenix and with that they were able to cruised for this win.

For the Knicks, they simply have no heart. They know their in a playoff race, but instead come out each night looking as if their season is over. They are just simply bad and this season may have been lost tonight.

No Knick had it at all tonight. Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points and Amare Stoudemire scored 19 points. The offense was not the issue tonight, but instead the defense continues to be something they cannot figure out. The defensive effort is just astounding as the opposing point guards continue to have their way. The pick and roll defense is also an issue for the Knicks. Those two areas have haunted this team the entire season.

The Suns took it to the Knicks tonight. Their play on offense really was the story tonight along with their hustle and energy. They wanted this win and got it. The Knicks on the other hand looked like a team that just gave up.
