The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 104-87 to win the 2014 NBA Finals. Tonight’s win gives the Spurs their fifth title, their first since 2007. The Miami Heat fell short in their quest to get their third straight championship losing the series 4-1.
In what started off as a close series tied 1-1, the Spurs rattled off three straight wins. The crisp ball movement and consistent three point shooting were too much for the Heat to contain. This was a dominating performance by the Spurs who dominated the defending champions.
Top Performers:
- LeBron James 31 points, ten rebounds, and five assists
- Kawhi Leonard 22 points, ten rebounds, and two assists
Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs!
