Knicks sign Orlando Sanchez

New York Knickerbockers President Phil Jackson announced today that the team has signed forward Orlando Sanchez. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sanchez, 6-9, 230-pounds, averaged 7.4 points, on 51.1-percent shooting, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 rebounds over 22.3 minutes in 32 games (18 starts) for St. John’s University last season. The Nagua, Dominican Republic-native previously played two seasons at Monroe College (NY) and for the Dominican national team.
