Pre-Game: Mets vs. Braves 7:10 PM

The New York Mets will play their second game of a three game series against the Braves tonight. The Mets are now third in the division after passing the Florida Marlins yesterday with their win against the Braves and the Marlins lost to the Phillies. The Mets are playing much better and are looking more like the team they were supposed to be. The team is hitting and getting excellent starting pitching. The division is on notice that this Met team is here to win.

Dillon Gee will look to get his eighth win of the season when he steps on the mound tonight. Gee is undefeated this season and if he gets a win tonight he will tie Dwight Gooden as the only Mets to reach 8-0 to start a season. Gee is starting to get his name bounced around the league as an on the rise starting pitcher. The Mets have to be excited about this young mans future.

Tim Hudson will start for the Braves and is looking for some revenge against the Mets. In his last start against the Mets he allowed five runs on seven hits. The Mets were able to knock him out through four innings.

The Mets have hit many pitchers hard over their recent surge. They haven’t hit with power, but they have been able to bunch together runs. We will see if the Mets can put together some clutch at bats.
