The New England Patriots have officially activated Marcus Cannon to the 53-man roster. They also signed DB Malcolm Williams to the practice squad and released S Ross Ventrone.
Bill Belichick stated earlier in the day that Cannon would be activated before the 4 p.m. deadline. For Williams this is the third time the Patriots have added him to the practice squad. Ventrone has been released multiple times and has bounced back from the active roster and the practice squad.
