The New York Mets finally got their no-hitter. Tonight was the night Johan Santana was able to give the franchise something they have never had. Santana threw a the first no-hitter in the Mets franchise history, throwing a career-high 134 pitches. This was an unbelievable game to watch simply because the intensity grew with every out. In what will go down as the best pitching games in Mets history, Johan Santana was able to no-hit the best offense in baseball. In this outing Santana stuck out eight batters and walked five. The offensive did an excellent job tonight, but this night was made by the pitching. This moment will live in the hearts of Mets fans forever and it couldn’t of happened to a better person.
