Pre-Game: Mets vs. Dodgers 10:10 PM

The Mets today put Jose Reyes on the disabled list after he received his second opinion. The Mets called up Nick Evans from Triple-A Buffalo to fill Reyes’ roster spot. The Mets have a huge hole in their lineup without Jose and now have to fight even harder to get through the season. This team has already shown that they can fight and now that their spark plug is down look for this team to be even more dangerous. Angel Pagan will have an outbreak leading off for the Mets and once Jose comes back I guarantee Pagan will be hitting in the two spot.
Tonight the New York Mets will be trying to sweep the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight at Dodgers Stadium. The Mets have won the first three and a win tonight will make it five straight games. The Mets are now three games over .500 and a win today will pull them closer in their race for the wild card.
Dillon Gee will start for the Mets looking to get back to his winning ways. Gee has struggled over his last few starts and hasn’t been getting many runs in his defense. The Mets have to score some runs for him tonight if they have any chance at sweeping this series. Gee will try to capture his ninth win of the season and try to become the first Met this season to reach that mark.
Clayton Kershaw will start for the Dodgers looking to get his ninth win of the season. Kershaw struggled in his last start as he gave up six runs over six innings with ten strikeouts. He really struggled to get through that game against the Angels. The Dodgers are hoping that that stops tonight as he faces the Mets. The all-star pitcher has 32 strikeouts in his last three starts. The Mets will have to hit early in the count in order to beat this all-star pitcher.
